Use crating

  • Keep construction lines light

Consider light source when rendering

  • Aiming for three variations of tone is a fast and easy way to make look 3D (white, grey, dark grey)
  • Flat surfaces one tone (unless shadows etc)
  • Curving surfaces fade from one tone to another

Thick and thin line technique

  • If you can see both faces that form an edge = thin
  • If you can only see one face that forms an edge = thick
